Today you will make your own way to the gateway international airport to check-in for your overnight flight to Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. Enjoy inflight meals and services onboard.

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure or join an optional excursion if you have arrived early in Nairobi.

After Breakfast this morning you will visit Daphne Sheldrick Orphanage where you will get the opportunity to understand how successfully the conservation measures were undertaken to save the elephants. David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is today the most successful orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world and one of the pioneering conservation organizations for wildlife and habitat protection in East Africa. You will then be taken for lunch at Karen Blixen Centre, where you will also be visiting the Karen Blixen Museum. The museum is in a lovely colonial house set in expansive gardens and is an interesting place to wander around. This evening visits the Giraffe Centre before heading back to the hotel.
Overnight in Nairobi

After Breakfast this morning, you will be transferred to Sarova Taita Hills Wildlife Lodge arriving for lunch.  On arrival, you will be met by an English-speaking guide where you’ll meet with the program coordinator for an informative briefing and Q&A about the activities in which you’ll be taking part over the coming days.  This afternoon there will be a presentation on the Sanctuary and its use for tourism and conservation purpose (1.5 hours). Following presentation board safari vehicles and spent afternoon game viewing in the sanctuary.  Return to your lodge in the early evening for Dinner.

Enjoy breakfast this morning in the lodge and spend the day learning more about the Ecological environment, plant biodiversity, and reforestation. Spend the day in the sanctuary with the Rangers learning more about the plant life native and being reintroduced to the Sanctuary.

Enjoy breakfast this morning at the lodge and spend the day exploring the rich plant biodiversity along the riverbanks and understanding how it contributes to increased wildlife presence in the area. Gain insights into the purpose and impact of the dam constructed on the Bura River, which flows through the sanctuary. Visit the crocodile relocation site to learn about the capture and transport process, the reasons behind their relocation, and how they have adapted to their new habitat within the sanctuary.
Overnight in Taita Hills

Enjoy breakfast this morning at the lodge and spend the day doing wildlife counts within the sanctuary including the plant inventory within the reforestation site. This will be done by the Rangers from the sanctuary along with a professional accredited Botanist. This evening we will have a presentation by a Ranger from Kenya Wildlife Services on the migratory movements of the wildlife from Tsavo to the sanctuary (and vice versa).
Overnight in Taita Hills

Spend another day game viewing within the sanctuary, focusing on monitoring and recording wildlife populations. In the evening, review the collected data alongside sanctuary rangers and two representatives from the Kenya Wildlife Service, comparing it with historical records from previous years during the same period. The data will be archived for future reference and ongoing comparison.

Enjoy breakfast this morning at the lodge and spend the day visiting Msorongo Village to learn more about the Corporate Social Responsibility projects are done with this village. Today you have an excellent opportunity to interact with the local community and observe their culture. You will meet the local people and visit various places within the village.  Another highlight of the day is to learn about the seedling project and the greenhouse created for the village as part of the sustainability measures.
Overnight in Taita Hills

Early morning, we will depart to Tsavo East National Park with a picnic lunch for full day excursion; exploring the park by learning on the environment, wildlife and plant life followed by a visit at the Kenya Wildlife Services offices to learn more about what the rangers do to conserve the park and its inhabitants. Late afternoon returns to your lodge for dinner.

Following an early breakfast this morning, catch your last views of Taita Hills as you depart this sanctuary. From here we head west across the beautiful landscape. We will have a lunch stop at Pampa restaurant before arriving in Kenya's bustling capital city of Nairobi by this evening. Once in the city, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
