Overnight Onboard the Flight 

Welcome to Paris, the City of Lights. Upon arrival, transferred to hotel. Later, students meet the Tour Director, who will guide the group throughout the program. After hotel check-in, students begin learning through a guided city walk focused on the historical development of Paris. The group explores Île de la Cité, learning about medieval Paris and Gothic architecture at Notre-Dame Cathedral, followed by a walk through Île St. Louis. In the Latin Quarter, students gain insight into Paris’ intellectual and cultural history, shaped by centuries of scholars, writers, and artists. A welcome dinner encourages group bonding and shared reflection on first impressions of France.

Students participate in a guided sightseeing tour that introduces Paris as a center of political power, art, and national identity. Highlights include the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Élysées, Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides, and Opéra Garnier, with discussion on French history, architecture, and symbolism. In the afternoon, students may opt to visit the Palace of Versailles to learn about absolute monarchy, royal life, and the French Revolution through its palaces and gardens. Evening at leisure allows free time for group exploration and cultural observation.

Today, students experience one of Europe’s most advanced rail systems aboard the high-speed TGV, learning about modern transportation and regional connectivity. Upon arrival in Nice, students observe Mediterranean geography, climate, and lifestyle, with time to explore the coastal setting independently or as a group.

After breakfast, set off on a full-day excursion to the glamorous Principality of Monaco. See the Prince’s Palace, home to the Grimaldi family, and enjoy breathtaking coastal views. Continue to the hilltop village of Èze, where you’ll visit a traditional perfume factory and learn about the art of French fragrance-making. Return to Nice for a guided sightseeing walk led by your Tour Director, exploring Vieux Nice (Old Town) with its pastel facades and lively markets, and stroll along the famous Promenade des Anglais by the sea.

Travel inland to the sun-drenched region of Provence, famous for its lavender fields, Roman heritage, and charming villages. Explore Avignon, once home to the Popes, and admire the Pont du Gard, a remarkably preserved Roman aqueduct. Visit the ancient Roman amphitheater in Nîmes, still used for events today. End the day in the picturesque village of Les Baux-de-Provence, set atop a rocky outcrop with panoramic views.

Overnight in Provence

Depart Provence and head west to the fairy-tale city of Carcassonne, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore its impressive medieval walls and towers through an interactive sightseeing activity that brings its history to life. Wander through cobbled streets within the fortress and imagine the life of knights and troubadours in the Middle Ages.

Travel north via the pink-hued city of Toulouse, where you'll enjoy a guided city walk through its vibrant squares and riverside setting. Continue to Bordeaux, the wine capital of France, for an evening stroll. Visit architectural gems such as the Place de la Bourse, the medieval Puerta de Cailhau, and the elegant Pont de Pierre bridge.

Overnight in Bordeaux

Venture into Bordeaux’s scenic wine country with a visit to the medieval town of St. Emilion, renowned for its vineyards and Romanesque architecture. Then continue to the Atlantic coast to see the Dune du Pilat, the tallest sand dune in Europe, offering spectacular views of the sea and forest. Return to Bordeaux for an evening at leisure.

Travel through the Vendee region and arrive in the enchanting Loire Valley. Enjoy a peaceful guided rowboat tour through the Marais Poitevin, a network of scenic canals often referred to as “The Green Venice” of France. In the evening, indulge in an authentic French brasserie dinner, experiencing regional flavors in a charming local setting.

Overnight in Bordeaux 

Discover the majestic châteaux of the Loire Valley during a guided tour. Visit Château d’Azay-le-Rideau, a Renaissance jewel built on an island in the river, and the stunning Château de Chenonceau, known as the "Ladies’ Castle" for its unique history and graceful design spanning the River Cher. Later, explore a Troglodyte Village, where homes are carved into limestone cliffs, followed by a unique dinner experience in the heart of the village.

Continue your journey to the Brittany coast and arrive in the walled port city of St. Malo. Take part in an interactive sightseeing activity, exploring landmarks such as the Church of St. Vincent and the Tomb of Jacques Cartier, the famed explorer who sailed to Canada. Enjoy the sea breeze as you walk along the city ramparts.

Depart for Normandy, where history and heritage meet. Begin with a visit to the dramatic Mont-Saint-Michel, a monastery perched atop a tidal island. In the afternoon, reflect on World War II history as you explore the Normandy D-Day Landing Beaches. Learn more about the events of 1944 with a visit to the Arromanches D-Day Museum, offering deep insight into the pivotal Allied landings.

Return to Paris for your final full day. Enjoy a guided visit to the world-renowned Louvre Museum, home to masterpieces such as the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. In the evening, celebrate your memorable journey through France with a relaxing Seine River Cruise, admiring the illuminated landmarks of Paris by night.
